Out and About

So, getting out of the house with Miss Anna Marie is a bit of a challenge. It's getting easier, though - 110% easier. There are moments when we're out that it's great and Anna is happy. These moments are so encouraging! For instance, our outing to Panera on Valentine's weekend and last night's trip to Kroger. Lovely little outings with a lovely little Anna. Then .... there are the other moments. Monday night we drove out to the mall, Partridge Creek, to get Brent another pair of pants for work. It takes about 20 minutes to get to this mall. So, as always, we were very strategic about when we left - Anna had just finished a bottle and her diaper was changed. All was well. And it was, she slept on the way there. She slept for a while and woke up in Eddie Bauer. She was happy and smiley and looked around. She was happy through Baby Gap. Then it was time to go and about 5 minutes into the drive home, she started crying and didn't stop. The kicker of the whole thing is .... as soon as she got into the house, she smiled. Stinker!! Anna is grounded from the mall until she is at least 3 years old.

I'm much braver about taking Anna out when I have Brent with me. He's so optimistic about things, he makes it much easier. (That's one of the hundred reasons why he's good for me.) When I'm by myself, I tend to only go out if we have to. Otherwise, we'll wait for Daddy.

Today is one of those days that we "have" to go out. Must go to the pet store for cat food. And to Target for a couple of things. So, when Anna wakes up from her nap, after she is fed and happy, we'll be headed out into the big bad world out there. :o) Wish us luck!!

OK, I like this updating the blog more often thing. Keep it up girl. I like to leave comments on new posts. I was beginning to look like a bit of a stalker, when you had not posted for awhile. Plus I always like to know how my girl is doing. Got her a cute easter bunny hat today.

Well Laura,
How did it go? You are leaving me in suspense here. I can't wait to read the next chapter of Anna goes for a ride with Mommy.

Love,
Dad H
