Catching Up
It's been a while since I've sat down to blog! Lot's to catch up on!
We had a great Easter holiday - Anna's first Easter! We spent the weekend in South Bend and with our families. Anna was happy all Easter long ... so smiley and sweet. We went to church with my mom on Easter Sunday and Anna did great! Only a few peeps, which make me smile more than anything. She fell asleep at the end of mass. Brent and I walked back to my mom's house and Anna slept in Brent's arms the whole way. It was a beautiful, sunny Easter day for our beautiful, sunny girl!

Big news ... Anna has two little teeth now! She started teething the week before Easter. The two front teeth on the bottom poked their way through! They are mighty cute little white pearly teeth! Teething wasn't the most fun, but she did pretty well. Few clingy days and hard nights. But nothing little Tylenol and a teething ring couldn't soothe.

Brent was on Spring Break last week. It was great to have him at home! We just hung around the house for the most part. The first part of the week was rainy ... good days to stay inside. The last half of the week was lovely outside ... warm and sunny. We took Anna on some fun outings - first walk down to the library, first walk to the lake, first walk to our new favorite cookie shop. Having Brent home all week was wonderful and now we can't wait for his summer break!

Anna has started babbling ... "da-da-da", "ma-ma-ma", "ba-ba-ba". It's so cute! She doesn't know who da-da or ma-ma are yet, but the sounds are so adorable, anyway.
We're making progress with her sleep schedule at night. Usually to bed between 8pm-9pm. The past three nights she has slept for 8 hours in a row! Well, she makes a few peeps here and there, but has been able to put herself back to sleep, which is awesome.
Anna is still our good little eater, she loves to eat! I am so proud of her and how well she does. She was 17 pounds 5 ounces last week! It's all in the thighs and cheeks. She gave the thumbs up to the new additions of carrots, pears, and bananas.
Playtime is always fun with Anna. She loves her toys and she's a joy to watch. She's just discovering all the time. Everything is in the mouth and she loves to bang her hands and toys on the table.

But who needs toys when you have junk mail?? Getting the mail everyday, oh boy, now that's fun. Anna loves to crinkle junk mail. She thinks it's the greatest.

Monday Monday
Hello Monday, a start to a new week! Not such a good start on the weather front....looked out the window this morning and everything is covered in snow. SNOW! Again! This is April, is it not? Snow is for Santa Claus, not the Easter Bunny.
Anna is doing great! Napping now, so thought I'd blog. I worked this weekend and am so happy to be home with Anna today. She had quite a fun weekend with Daddy. Brent took her to church yesterday for Palm Sunday. I so wish I could have gone with them. We haven't had the best attendance at church lately. I work almost every Sunday from 11 am-7:30 pm, so it makes it difficult to get to mass. Saturdays I usually work till 11:30 pm, so we can't make the Saturday mass either. But Brent said he's going to try to get Anna there more often. They had a great Palm Sunday. Brent said Anna did really well in church, only made a few peeps, but she tried to eat the palm! She was quite a hit with the people sitting around her - she got lots of good comments! Only the people were probably thinking, "Where is that lovely little girl's mother??" and "What a great dad to take his baby to church on his own." And they're right about the great dad part.
New additions to Anna's menu lately .... apples and squash. She didn't care for the apples by themselves, but she gobbles up mixed apples and oatmeal for breakfast. I couldn't believe how much she ate this morning! And oh boy, she really likes the squash. Tomorrow we're starting bananas!
Brent just called and is on his way home from work. Michigan State basketball game is on tonight, Go State!
Hope everyone is well out there. Send warm wishes for this snow covered Michigan girl.
